Sissel is a specialist in sustainable urbanism with 25 years of experience from private and public sector in Norway and Sweden. As leader of Urban LINK she has developed a new professional platform of architects and urban planners to lead and manage early phase projects in Scandinavian. Urban LINK projects are based on interdisciplinary collaboration with Multiconsult Group of LINK Arkitektur / Multiconsult / Analyse & Strategi. 

Sissel works in the crossover disciplines between architecture and urban planning, focusing on sustainable lifestyle and qualitative experiences as key issues for how to plan and design our physical surroundings. She has an interdisciplinary and sustainable approach to all her projects, which have ranged from developing neighborhood pilot areas in  Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Oslo as well as developing infrastructural projects such as the InterCity in Oslo and Citytunneln between Copenhagen and Malmö. For the Norwegian Research Council NRC she has served on program boards for urban development and transport, as mentor for researchers at NRC Idelab "Cities That Work" and as rep for Scandinavia to the JPI Urban Europe Scientific Advisory Panel in Bruxelles. Engblom is an international public speaker for politicians, administrations, scientists, property developers and architects, and has received international awards for her work. Her recent projects are based on developing new tools and schemes to meet new urban challenges in Europe such as #SafeCity, #UrbanInterior and #Resilient Real Estate.
