Bregje is an Amsterdam-based author. At the end of the eighties and the nineties she studied history and political science at the University of Amsterdam. In 2007, she made her writing debut with Walrus, which was named by the NRC as one of the best debuts of the year. In adition to Walrus and her second novel, Eva, she writes short stories and columns, and was commissioned to write two short biographies.
