Ciarán Cuffe chairs the Masters Programme in Urban Regeneration and Development at the Dublin Institute of Technology and has held public office for over twenty-five years as a City Councillor, Member of Parliament, and Minister of State. He is currently a City Councillor representing the North Inner City of Dublin, which includes the old Victorian Fish Market Site. He is currently undertaking an MSc in Cities at the London School of Economics and Political Science and holds degrees in architecture and urban planning from University College Dublin.
