Hans Karssenberg (1970) is founding partner of STIPO, an interdisciplinary team for better cities. He leads complex urban area development towards human scale, great public space, mixed use, sustainable and inclusive quality, always in close co-creation with all stakeholders. He is author and initiator of the international knowledge program and books The City at Eye Level. He is board member and initiator of the Stichting Stadmakersfonds, Placemaking Europe and PlacemakingX.

Hans works for cities and regions, developers, international projects, knowledge institutions, social initiatives, housing corporations and foundations. He works on area development and area transformation, urban strategy, co-creation, social and economic innovation, public space quality, placemaking and the city at eye level, masterclasses and trainings. He graduated as an urban planner (University of Amsterdam, Urban Planning Department, 1993).
