Considering that cities are made by people, it is remarkable how often we forgot how to design new urban fabric for people. How do we get a human scale and a sense of place woven into new development? This session will provide participants with valuable lessons and best practices from Amsterdam and the Netherlands on how to integrate the eye-level experience into new built projects, both in design and development process.
Leaving from the main entrance of Pakhuis de Zwijger, this session will take place at
Floor 6, a short walk from the conference venue. Along the way, participants will experience some of Amsterdam's new developments firsthand and gather fodder for discussion!
