Panel: Asia's Unique Public Spaces

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

An interdisciplinary panel takes you on a critical tour of public places in Asian cities.

In fast developing and dense Asian cities good quality, accessible and fun public space is often a luxury. This doesn’t mean that the citizens of these cities don’t create or use their own public space. What happens organically at street level of these cities? And how do the government and the powerful developers respond?

This panel will take you to the urban heart of Yangon (Myanmar), Taipei (Taiwan) and Hong Kong to hear from practitioners about their continuous quest for public space.
