Bike Tour: Feeling Connected: Heritage in Urban Development (FULL)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Sign-up links for all off-sites will be sent by email to conference registrants only in late September. Advanced registration required. Capacity: 20 (FULL). Bikes required.*

On this bike tour, participants will compare, analyze and discuss the role of heritage in urban development projects. Students and lecturers of the Reinwardt Academy, who worked on a successful project this year, will be your guide and tell their experiences.

New places to work and live are much more attractive if you know, see and experience the soul of a place. Heritage professionals and policies can play an important role in this process, making people feel more connected, raising property values, and inspiring new development. During the tour, participants will visit three sites from the Eastern Islands of Amsterdam.

*All conference-affiliated hotels provide bike rentals. Bike lanes and frequent stops will make this tour accessible for cyclists of all experience levels.
