A panel discussion that reveals why engaging children and youth in all levels of placemaking is crucial for achieving sustainable impact on the neighborhood level, and how this can be achieved.

Drawing on cases from around the world, this panel highlights the catalytic role that children and youth can play in bringing their friends, family, and thus the local community into the placemaking process. If empowered and trained accordingly, youth can also bring creativity and innovation into the way we approach open and public space. 

What tools, methods, and governance models can placemakers use to put youth at the center of our public spaces?
