A workshop that demonstrates a proven new model for cutting the municipal red tape that often stands in the way of placemaking initiatives, unleashing community potential and creating the enabling environment for innovation. 

You know how every time you want change something in your neighbourhood, local government gets in the way? We’ve developed a new model to cut through red-tape to make it easier for you to get your project started. We’ve tested it on over 20 projects, and would love to share the results with you.

In 2015 CoDesign Studio, backed by the Myer Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation, developed a national program to fix mechanics of placemaking, identifying the single biggest bottle-neck to unleashing community-led placemaking was local government regulation.
