Andrew Pask is an urban planner at the City of Vancouver, as well as the founder and director of the Vancouver Public Space Network (VPSN). As a planner, Andrew works on creating neighbourhood-scale policy to foster and support compact, liveable communities..


As an advocate for public realm issues, Andrew works with the VPSN, a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization that has been championing the importance of good public space since 2005. The VPSN’s activities include a creative mix of placemaking, research and design, advocacy and intervention.


Andrew received his training as an anthropologist and urban planner, studying in Toronto and Amsterdam. He has worked on a wide-range community development projects with local governments and non-profits in British Columbia and Ontario.
